Hitmakers was a radio industry trade publication
founded by Barry Fiedel in Canoga Park, CA around
1979.
It was ´published weekly and had the usual tip sheet
station reports as well as very good interviews with
program directors and record industry executives. |
|
Note: The industry term "Tip Sheet" was used from
the late 50's until the demise of most of them in
the first years of the New Millennium. It referred
to a class of publications that let radio stations
know who was playing what songs and was a major help
in deciding which of dozens of new songs each week a
program director should pick. They have been
superseded by online airplay reports. |
