Song Hits Magazine was
a long-running American music publication
founded by Lyle Engel. It was especially
popular from the later 1930s to the 1980s,
known for featuring hit song lyrics, artist
interviews (like The Beatles, Bee Gees,
Cheap Trick), and photos, published by
Charlton Publications, providing fans with
lyrics and insights into popular music of
the time. It was a bi-monthly journal
that absorbed
Song Lyrics and offered a snapshot of
pop culture through its accessible format.
It began in 1937 and ended around 1988. |
